Our Audiologist Team

All of our providers are licensed audiologists, and none work on commission, allowing us to focus entirely on what matters most: patient care and trust. Our audiologists are certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), with several also holding board certification from the American Board of Audiology (ABA).

Together, our team brings extensive clinical experience across diagnostic testing, hearing aids, and balance care for patients of all ages. In addition to serving our patients, we are proud to be involved in training the next generation of audiologists.

By mentoring students and externs, we stay at the forefront of best practices while contributing to the future of the profession.

Dr. Norma Camacho  Au.D, CCC/A; ABA

Audiologist / Principal

Dr. Norma P. Camacho is a renowned audiologist with over 20 years of experience, currently serving as the principal audiologist at Doctors of Hearing, Inc. Inspired by her family’s experiences with hearing loss, she pursued audiology and earned her doctorate in audiology with honors from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. She also holds a Master of Science in Communicative Disorders with honors in hearing aids and technology from California State University, Northridge, and a B.A. in Sociology from California State University, Los Angeles—equipping her with a profound understanding of how cultural and social factors influence patient care.

Dr. Camacho trained at the Veterans Administration Hospital, gaining experience in post-traumatic stress disorder and drug and alcohol abuse clinics. During this time, she became proficient with all six leading hearing aid brands. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she has earned numerous certifications, including clinical competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, certification from the American Board of Audiology.  She is a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, California Academy of Audiology, and American Academy of Audiology. She is licensed in California to practice audiology and to dispense hearing aids.

Her dedication to advocacy and community service has been widely recognized. In 2019, she was named Woman of the Year by Congresswoman Judy Chu for her work supporting underserved populations, including veterans, musicians, low-income communities, and college students who cannot afford hearing aids. Dr. Camacho provides counseling, mental health resources in audiology, and emotional support alongside audiological care. She has also been recognized by the mayor of Pasadena for her community contributions.

Dr. Camacho’s advocacy extends to policy. She coordinated congressional efforts that led to the declaration of May as Better Hearing Month and has met with lawmakers in Washington, D.C., and California to support legislation for Medicare patients and children with hearing loss. Contributed to the passage of California’s AB 598, the Pediatric Hearing Aid Bill, expanding access to hearing aids for all children in the state.

Passionate about education, Dr. Camacho is developing Spanish-language resources—including videos and radio interviews—to provide the Spanish-speaking community with accurate information on audiology and hearing aids.

In 2011, recognizing the need for an ethical, patient-centered practice of best practices hearing care provider, Dr. Camacho founded Doctors of Hearing, Inc. and soon after the Love2Hear Foundation. Her practice and foundation prioritize compassion, expert knowledge, and the highest standards of care, serving patients with hearing loss, balance disorders, and tinnitus across California.

Dr. Camacho is a compassionate and patient audiologist, known for her expertise in hearing aids, extensive diagnostics and her dedication to patients and the community, making her a trusted leader in audiology.

Kevin C. Townsend, M.A., CCC/A

Audiologist / Principal

Kevin C. Townsend joined Doctors of Hearing Inc.in 2013 and works in partnership with Dr. Camacho as the CFO. He has been a licensed audiologist in California and Illinois for 30 years. He earned his Master of Audiology degree from Northern Illinois University and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Not only that, but he is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the Academy of Doctors of Audiology. He is an expert in diagnostic evaluations and treatment of hearing and balance disorders. He has extensive experience working with ear surgeons.

Mr. Townsend has also worked for two leading hearing aid manufacturers which provided him extensive experience in hearing aid research and develop
ment. He is highly qualified in hearing aid software and programming. Read his inspiring words regarding his passion for exceptional care. “One must understand each patient’s history and experiences and provide an expert evaluation to achieve the best possible outcomes and follow-up care. Hearing aids have to be properly selected, tested in the ear, and fine-tuned to each patient’s listening preferences for years of hearing enjoyment.” He has met with several members of Congress in Washington, D.C., to advance the specialty of audiology and to ensure patients have access to the care they deserve. He enjoys golf, lifting weights, attending sporting events, and concerts.

Dr. Reynita Alcisto

Senior Audiologist

Dr. Alcisto joined the Doctors of Hearing, Inc. team in 2020 as a senior audiologist. She received her Doctor of Audiology degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. As a student at Wash U in St. Louis she created a word recognition test to use when testing individuals in her native language of Ilocano. This study was published in the Philippine Journal of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. She remains an editor for this journal.


Dr. Alcisto has been an audiologist since 2007. She received training at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawai'i where she worked with the adult and pediatric populations. She spent several years as a pediatric audiologist at the House Ear Institute - CARE Center where she gained experience in diagnostics, hearing aid fitting, bone conduction hearing aids and cochlear implants. Dr. Alcisto gained additional experience working as a clinical specialist for Cochlear Americas. As a clinical specialist Dr. Alcisto had the privilege of providing clinical recommendations and guidance for the unique & challenging cochlear implant cases in her territory.

Following her passion for patient care, she returned to the clinical environment as a senior audiologist at the House Children's Hearing Center of UCLA for over 5 years. Dr. Alcisto has extensive experience in hearing solutions including hearing aids, bone conduction devices & cochlear implants in adults & children. She is one of a few private practice audiologists who are part of the Cochlear Provider Network (CPN).

Her goal as a CPN provider is to make cochlear implant information and services accessible to those who are candidates. Dr. Alcisto serves as a mentor and maintains Doctors of Hearing as a training site for future audiologists. She will often have students/externs from local universities working with her.
She currently works part-time for Doctors of Hearing Inc. Her passion is cochlear implant mapping; hence, her primary work location is at House Children's Hearing Center as the Pediatric Clinical Director. Dr. Alcisto was born and raised in Hawaii. She enjoys traveling locally and internationally with her family. She also spends her time working for non-profit organizations including Real Innovative Connections and Love 2 Hear. She is bilingual in English and Ilocano. Dr. Alcisto is a great audiologist and an expert in cochlear implant mapping.

Dr. Rebecca Wallace

Audiologist

Dr. Rebecca Wallace joined the Doctors of Hearing Inc. team in 2022 as a 4th Year Audiology Extern and continued on to work with the team into her professional career. She received her Doctor of Audiology degree in 2023 from California State University, Los Angeles. Before receiving her doctorate Dr. Wallace earned a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Fullerton in psychology and worked as a behavioral interventionist for two years before deciding to go back to school.

In 2018, she enrolled in the Speech and Language Post- baccalaureate program at CSULA, where she developed a love for the field of audiology. During her time in school she gained experience working with individuals from all walks of life and all backgrounds.

She received training in various settings including hospitals, private clinics, and educational settings. During her time in her doctoral program, she served as the vice president of CSULA’s Student Academy of Audiology chapter for 2020. As a student at CSULA, she also conducted a research study assessing the dangers of hazardous noise exposure among musicians by measuring the sound intensity levels generated by individuals who play the bagpipes.

This study was published by her school's database through ProQuest and she also had the great honor and privilege to present her research at the 2023 American Academy of Audiology National Conference and HearTECH Expo in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Wallace works full-time at Doctors of Hearing, Inc. in the Pasadena, Glendora, and Rancho Cucamonga locations and has exceptional experience working with people of all ages performing diagnostic audiological and vestibular testing and working with hearing aids.

Her goal as an audiologist is to do everything possible to connect people to the world around them and together with the rest of the team she strives to provide the highest level of care for her patients.

Dr. Lindsay Jensen

Audiologist

Dr. Lindsay Jensen joined the team at Doctors of Hearing, Inc. in 2023 as a fourth-year Audiology Extern. She earned her Doctor of Audiology degree from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) in 2024 and has since continued her professional journey with the practice.

Originally intending to pursue a career in speech-language pathology, Dr. Jensen discovered her passion for audiology while completing her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders at CSUN, graduating in the spring of 2020. She then advanced directly into CSUN’s Doctor of Audiology program that fall.

During her doctoral training, Dr. Jensen developed a deep appreciation for the meaningful impact audiology can have on individuals’ quality of life. She has gained comprehensive clinical experience across diverse settings, including private practices and hospital environments. At Doctors of Hearing, Inc., she has further refined her skills in diagnostic audiological evaluations, vestibular assessments, and hearing aid fittings—all while providing the compassionate, patient-centered care that every individual deserves.
