The TeamMeet the People Behind Doctors of Hearing.

Our Passionate Team

kevin norma

We are fortunate to have compassionate, sympathetic, attentive, skilled, and knowledgeable staff.  Most of our patient care coordinators, audiology aids, administrators, and office manager, have experience in Audiology and the hearing aid dispensing industry, and others have at least a BA in Communicative Disorders along with experience in this field.  We also hire graduate students in Audiology.   The DoctorsOfHearing team embraces the patient care centered approach model.  As consumers and patients, we know a positive patient experience is critical in order to deliver the best care possible.

At DOH, we ensure that our patients leave satisfied with our care and with their needs fulfilled as these two aspects are critical aspects of the healthcare industry. We try to make health care access convenient and safe.  We currently have 3 clinics to serve you, our Glendora location is ideal to serve those patients with emergencies because it has a large parking lot and a spacious clinic. (This location is in the middle of Pasadena and Rancho Cucamonga offices).

Our focus is to make health care access as needed, therefore DOH has an App to communicate with patients for simple needs. We recently added this TeleHealth tool to make healthcare more accessible for basic needs. We know financial barriers in the Health Care System exist, because of this, we are transparent with our prices and our services.  Our staff is available to check all of our patients' insurance cards to make sure they can get some or all financial support from their insurance services. DOH works hard to find solutions for all of our patients and experience real improvement in their hearing.

When she was in the beginning of her career she identified that there is an unbridled need for an ethical place people can go to obtain reliable information about hearing loss and utilize the most current technology in hearing. I am excited that I joined the Doctors of Hearing, Inc. team as a 4th Year Audiology Extern. Following my graduation from the University of Southern California in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and a minor in Psychology, I attended Cal State LA’s Speech and Language Post-Baccalaureate program, which introduced me to the world of audiology. Since enrolling in the Doctor of Audiology program at Cal State LA in 2019, I have learned so much more about audiology and the positive impact this field can have on an individual’s life, which has only heightened my passion for what we do. I have clinical experience working with both pediatric and adult patients and I have a special interest in vestibular audiology. I currently have the honor to run the vestibular clinic in the Pasadena office where I am learning a vast of information to expand my knowledge. Doctors of Hearing, Inc. is well-known for their dedication to their patients and, as an extern at this clinic, I hope to exemplify their standard of supportive and compassionate patient care.

Robert Ortiz

Robert Ortiz

Certified Audiology Aide - Patient Care Coordinator - Rancho Cucamonga office.

I have the pleasure of working as a licensed audiology aide for Audiologist Kevin Townsend in the Rancho Cucamonga location. I started working with the company 3 years ago. This has been the most rewarding experience in my career. I enjoy working with my hands, and this position is hands-on. I have to say the most rewarding part is the positive outcome; we change people’s lives within a few seconds or an hour. I know many people are trying to find the right job and most are not happy where they are, but I can honestly say that I am very happy with what I am doing and where I am. It’s truly astonishing to see how much Hearing can change a person’s life. In the last 3 years, I’ve witnessed withdrawal, depression, anxiety, and anger from the lack of proper hearing and lack of understanding and proper help. Those patients that come our way come to us because we improve their quality of life and they come to us because they know our team cares and Doctors of Hearing is also known for being the best in town to help with their hearing needs.
I am glad to be part of a team of people whose mission is to deliver a better quality of life. Doctors of Hearing has allowed me to experience and be able to deliver outstanding quality of care, and I have witnessed how much work, patience, and dedication goes into helping our patients. I am blessed to work with Audiologist Kevin Townsend and Dr. Norma Camacho because they both deliver superb quality care. Their patients love them, respect them, and trust in their experience and expertise. Most of their patients have been bringing their friends and families to them for years because they know Doctors of Hearing genuinely cares. They are both now seeing their patient's, adult sons and daughters as well as their grandchildren. Dr. Norma and Audiologist Kevin are wonderful people; they treat their patients with respect and patience, they also treat all of us (employees) like family. I love working for this small family business. Doctors of hearing has inspired me to continue in this industry and in the future, I plan to become an Audiologist and work for DOH.On a personal note, in my spare time, I enjoy cooking, watching movies, or just simply being outdoors having fun with friends and my family.

Omar Huizar

Patient Care Coordinator - Glendora

Greetings, my name is Omar Huizar and I’m very excited at the opportunity to become the newest patient care coordinator here at Doctor’s of Hearing. It has been a pleasure and privilege to have met such an amazing team starting at the top with Dr. Camacho. I had no prior knowledge of the Audiology field or anything to do with hearing. After just spending one day at the Pasadena office I knew this company was right for me due to the fact that I will have the opportunity to help and improve patient’s lives, and that is why I got into the medical field in the first place. Prior to Doctors of Hearing I was working at my very first job in the medical field as a front desk receptionist at a family medicine clinic. There I completed my internship for both medical assisting and phlebotomy and gained 1 year and 1 month of experience to cover someone who had gone on a leave of absence. I first became interested in the medical field in 2020 when my Grandmother had gotten sick and I had to relocate from Arizona to California to help take care of her. In my spare time I like to stay healthy by eating healthy, exercising regularly, going on hikes and playing sports. I also like to spend time with my family and friends, traveling, playing video games, and watching movies and t.v. I’m very excited at the opportunity of becoming the newest addition to Doctor’s of Hearing and can’t wait to apply my talents and skills here for years to come.
